Finally - a book of popular (contemporary) music for mountain dulcimer. There's not much out there for dulcimer, mostly from cost of licensing/copyright issues, and when we found this book (by the amazing Steve Eulberg) we jumped on it, and got it in stock just for you.

Of the 50 tunes, they're mostly (vast majority) in DAD tuning, although a few of the songs are DAC tuning. Of the 50, 14 make use of the 1.5 fret.

Very worthwile book

This is a great book for baby boomers and
hippies. It is all songs that we grew up with and
loved. The tabs are rudimentary enough to make
the music sound familiar. It would be nicer if the
more detailed intros and bridges were included.

First 50 songs on mountain dulcimer

For someone just starting to play and has no music background the songs are limited to what I can play. That being said, the more I play and learn there are many songs I am looking forward to being able to play. I think it will be a book I will use for a long time. Was a good purchase for me.

Not yet

I’m delighted with the purchase and with service from Folkcraft, but I can’t talk about the music yet. I’m a new dulcimer player - very new. I haven’t had a single day of practice yet and don’t expect to get my newly ordered H-series dulcimer until January or February.

My new favorite song book

I really have been enjoying working on the tunes in Steve Eu;berg’s First 50 Songs You Should Play on Mountain Dulcimer. Having been a teenager in the fifties, I like the selection of tunes. I also like the arrangements which have interesting chords. I am grateful to have quite large hands because some of the chords require a long reach.

Know the songs

It is important to me to know the songs I am learning to play. I play by the frets and these are easy to read. I will enjoy learning songs from this book.
