R. Baggs Under Bridge/Replacement Bridge Dulcimer Pickup   This amazing L.R. Baggs dulcimer pickup outputs the clarity and sound you want from your mountain dulcimer. Our superb pickup is custom made for Folkcraft by the acoustic instrument pickup experts at the L.R. Baggs company. The pickup is 1/8 of an inch thick, and is just the right height to fit your Folkcraft dulcimer. You get to choose both color and width. Color options are "bone-colored" and "ebony-colored" micarta for the upper piece. Width options are 1 3/8" and 1 1/2". All four options sound the same - choose the color based on your preference, and choose the width to match your fingerboard.   Technical Notes: To sand your pickup use a piece of fine-grit sandpaper, or a file, to gently round the top edges of your pickup. If you're replacing an existing bridge, try to copy the size and shape of the bridge you're removing from your dulcimer.   After the shape and height is where you want it, you'll then use a file or a fret saw to put shallow grooves in the top edge of your pickup (to provide proper side-to-side spacing for your strings).   The only part you'll need for your pickup's installation is a jack of some sort that will accept a cable that connects your dulcimer to your amplifier. We recommend the use of an endpin jack, which is sold separately.   For illustrative purposes, we've included a photo of a Folkcraft instrument with a Baggs pickup installed.
