2020 Indiana Dulcimer Festival

Item Number 2020IDF, Regular price $140.00

July 11 and July 12, 2020
Woodburn, Indiana

Synopsis: Woodburn, Indiana dulcimer festival, hosted by Folkcraft Instruments. Held at the Folkcraft concert hall and wood shop. Choose the classes you want the morning of the festival. Take classes, eat food, go to the concert, make music with the instructors and the other attendees. Why? To learn something, and to have fun. We're cutting off registration at 50 people, so that the festival will stay small and intimate.

Artist/instructors: The 2020 Indiana Dulcimer Festival (IDF) features some of the best artist/instructors on planet earth - Bing Futch, Dave Haas, John Keane, Karen Keane, and Wendy Songe. They're ALL Folkcraft Endorsing Artists. We are really lucky to have this amazing roster of instructors booked for the 2020 IDF. Click here to see their biographies.

Classes: We're offering a total of ten classes, and you can see the class choices the morning of the festival. Maybe we'll have the actual classes online before registration closes, but there are no guarantees. But... With Bing, Dave, John, Karen, and Wendy each offering two classes, you're sure to find classes to love! We aren't doing class selection online - when you come to the festival, you can just "go" to the classes that appeal to you that day.

Where to stay: We're recommending that you stay at the (hotel TBA early in 2020). NOT the Hampton Inn that we've used before, though. The hotel we choose will be one that allows jamming after hours in the lobby, so be sure to bring your instrument back to the hotel!

Camping in an RV: We have a relatively large parcel of land, and room for a number of "dry camping" RVs. In 2019, we had eight RVs of various sizes, and room for a couple more. There is a nearby RV park (about 5 miles) that has basic amenities. Look up the Jefferson Township Park in New Haven, Indiana.

Folk craft Shirt

Nice looking - true to size.

A quality T-shirt with a nice Folkcraft logo. It will serve me well at dulcimer festivals. Thanks.

Love Me Some Dulcimer Ditties

The dulcimer truly is in my DNA and if it wasn't before, it certainly is after getting this book! Carol Walker really made this book wonderful to play through, and at the end of it my playing was on a whole different level! My improvement was very subtly throughout, but it was amazing the difference from the beginning to end of the book. I love Carol's version of "Red River Valley" it was an instant favorite of mine!
