I recomend these because they are comfortable and don't twist like other straps. They look sharp and they come in different colors. Give them a try.
Wonderful strap. Well made, shipped quickly
I love all things Folkcraft honestly. I had a custom dulcimer made last month and it came out gorgeous both in appearance and in sound. It is Butternut on the soundboard and Walnut on the bottom with an Ebony fret board. I wanted a new dulcimer that was built California style with a pick up. I came to Folkcraft and Richard Ash because my very first dulcimer was made by him 10 years ago. It has given me so much pleasure learning to play. I first purchased a fancy guitar strap for my new dulcimer. But after using it I didn't feel it was a safe way to handle my dulcimer putting it over my shoulders and head. I was afraid I was going to dent it or drop my dulcimer. The" Quick Release" strap is so convenient and easy to use. You lay your dulcimer on your lap and snap it on. To take it off while the dulcimer is still on your lap you just unsnap it. I have control of my dulcimer the whole time.
The only thing I wish Richard would do is have the leather end match the color of the strap material or just be black leather. I also wish he could design some that had a fancy, cool fabric attached to the strap section to give it a little more character. But hey! my fabulous dulcimer is the show stopper. The "Quick Release" strap
makes me feel the dulcimer is safe in my lap.
I would highly recommend the 2"wider Quick-Release Strap. I own three of them.
I purchased a 2 inch strap which works great but in retrospect the 1 inch strap would have been fine. I like the quick release being on both ends of the strap and it keeps the instrument secure while playing.
Keeps your dulcimer from sliding around or falling off your lap and I love the Quick-Release ends!
