Love the Tone, Sustain and PickUp

A note to Richard Ashe says it all. “Oh my, Richard!! It’s beautiful, everything I hoped for and more. The tonal quality and sustain are wonderful. Don’t know that anything but mahogany and western cedar could sound as sweet! Worth every penny!! Thank you for a perfect instrument!!” This teardrop dulcimer is my second from Folkcraft.
My first dulcimer was a walnut/butternut custom teardrop. This latest one is a ‘Ready To Ship’. Both are beautifully finished and sound great, rich sound, great sustain. Will I get a third? You never know. If I do, it will be another Folkcraft.

Beautiful instrument

The dulcimer was exactly as I ordered, and wonderfully crafted. It has a lovely sound, and is easily tuned. In fact if arrived almost exactly in tune. I am a beginner, and this is a joy to play, which encourages practice.

Great Custom Dulcimer

Love this dulcimer. Great workmanship. Lovely wood. Sounds great. Exactly as ordered. Thanks.

Beautiful and functional

It is rare to have a handcrafted instrument, and she is a beauty. Also I would recommend the hard case. It is pricey, but beautifully made, and will protect your dulcimer.

Bass Dulcimer

I love my bass dulcimer, such a deep and warm sound. And, thank you for taking the time to answer my many questions. 😊
