My bass dulcimer arrived today and I am delighted with its sound and looks. The Eastern red cedar I chose turned out wonderfully. The sound is deep and rich.
I feel so blessed to have this beautiful cherry top and cherry body Folkroots D series mountain dulcimer! I am just a beginner but the difference between it and my student dulcimer is like night and day! It is beautiful and brings me so much joy!
I wanted to order a MAXDAD chromatic, so I ordered one a couple of months back -- customer service was amazing and cleared up any and all issues that arose during its building and shipping. The instrument arrived at the beginning of this month, and I would say that the instrument is absolutely splendid and sounds loud and sweet. I would definitely buy again if I ever needed another one!
Just got to pick my wood, eastern red cedar, for my dream dulcimer. The actual piece!!! I am so excited to see it on the completed instrument. What a great service.
Had my new custom dulcimer about 3-4 weeks now, and honestly, I am enjoying it more every day. The quality of the workmanship, top and bottom joints, finish and most importantly, sound is absolutely top notch. Everyone notices the brilliance and warmth of the tones. Needless to say but I’ll say it anyway ..I could not be more happy with this custom dulcimer. Number four in my collection but number one in overall quality.!
