So Happy i was able to find a source for this. Thanks Folkcraft!
This was exactly what I needed. Glad I have a source for it with Folkcraft.
I've been building hammered dulcimers for
over 40 years, but somehow NEVER heard of delrin rod until a few weeks ago? I've always lived in fairly remote areas, and am a bit of a "Luddite", so not much access to the internet. Anyway, when I first read about delrin rod, I was convinced I had to use it on my new dulcimers. Unfortunately, all of my searches ended in frustration. Several industrial suppliers insisted I must buy 1,000 feet to place on order (that's a lot of delrin rod!). So, when I accidently stumbled (metaphorically) onto "Folkcraft Instruments, I was delighted that they offer small quantities of delrin rod (both white and black) at very reasonable prices. I placed my order, it arrived in less than a week, and boom, I will never use brass road on my instruments again! If I could find an upload link I'd send an image of my latest dulcimer, with white delrin rod on ebony side bridges, and treble and bass bridges with alternating white and black delrin rod. Thanks Folkcraft Instruments! You've given an old guy's dulcimers a new and modern look!
Worked for what I needed it for...
