2011 Festival Date Announcement (Posted by Nicholas Young on 7/30/2010)

If you haven't heard already, the first Indiana Dulcimer Festival held here in Woodburn, Indiana at the Folkcraft facility was a success. So much a success that plans for the 2011 festival started developing the next day. With that, I give you the first announcement:

Indiana Dulcimer Festival 2011

July 23-24, 2011

Folkcraft Instruments in Woodburn, Indiana

All the juicy details on instructors, classes, registration, etc. (including "New To IDF 2011" stuff) will be posted at IndianaDulcimerFestival.com as they are finalized. So check back often!

On that, I'll leave you with a few more pics from IDF 2010. Hope to see you all soon!

Class is in session with Stephen Seifert.

The crowd files in for the Saturday night concert.

Dinner time in the tent.

Josh Noe, Bing Futch and Danny S. perform during the Sunday concert (which was moved indoors due to an earlier rainstorm).

A performance from Lois Hornbostel and students.

When people think of heirloom-quality instruments, they think of Folkcraft. Here's why: Our instruments are handmade in the United States of America, not in a cheap overseas factory. Our instruments are crafted one at a time, not on an assembly line. Our instruments are made of solid woods, not out of plywood.

Folkcraft instruments are made with pride and tradition, using the same methods as our founders used in 1968. Folkcraft Instruments is a family business, with two generations of luthiers putting their skill and experience into every instrument they create.
