Different uses can help you control the sustain of your instrument. Rods are sold in 2 ft. sections with diameters as follows: 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", and 3/8".   Our 1/8" rod is a hard nylon rod, and our 3/16" and larger rods are made of Delrin plastic.
