Our Nordic lap harp is an unusual instrument which can be plucked, strummed, and chorded. With a warm, mellow, distinctive tone, our version of the kantele is a wonderful introduction to Scandinavian folk music. Our kantele has 15 strings that can play a two octave D major scale, so you'll be able to play practically any diatonic song you choose. Our beautiful instrument is hand made with walnut sides, maple pin blocks, mahogany back, and a soundboard of Sitka spruce. You won't find any plywood or artificial materials here, just a great sounding instrument that has to be played to be appreciated!
