For our "Maple Fingerboard With Veneer" option, we laminate a piece of hickory on to clear maple.

For the "Slots Cut" option, we have cut slots for the nut, bridge and frets so they are ready for installation. We will cut slots for 18 frets (including the 6 1/2 fret) for a total scale length of 27".

For the "Frets Installed" option, we cut the slots as in the "Slots Cut" option, and install and trim the frets. The price you see includes the installation and the fret wire.
 

About Hickory: Hickory is one of the hardest and heaviest domestic hardwoods available. In appearance, hickory ranges from off white to light brown with a fairly open grain pattern. Hickory is fairly easy to work, although it takes a little bit of effort because of its hardness, and finishes very well.
