This inlay strip is perfect for adding an accent stripe to the back of your dulcimer. Take a pair of book matched pieces (like our two piece back/soundboard blanks) and glue this strip in between them. The strip draws attention to the mirrored grain pattern of the book matched pair. Folkcraft inlay strips are 32" long, 1/8" thick, and approximately 1/4" tall.
About Hickory: Hickory is one of the hardest and heaviest domestic hardwoods available. In appearance, hickory ranges from off white to light brown with a fairly open grain pattern. Hickory is fairly easy to work, although it takes a little bit of effort because of its hardness, and finishes very well.
