For our "Maple Fingerboard With Veneer" option, we laminate a piece of white ash on to clear maple.

For the "Slots Cut" option, we have cut slots for the nut, bridge and frets so they are ready for installation. We will cut slots for 18 frets (including the 6 1/2 fret) for a total scale length of 27".

For the "Frets Installed" option, we cut the slots as in the "Slots Cut" option, and install and trim the frets. The price you see includes the installation and the fret wire.
 

About White Ash: Widely cultivated throughout the eastern third of the USA, white ash is an all-purpose wood. White ash works well, and looks great with lacquer. Ash lumber is a very traditional wood to use in dulcimer building, asit is found throughout the southern Appalachians.
