For our "Maple Fingerboard With Veneer" option, we laminate a piece of quartersawn white oak on to clear maple.

For the "Slots Cut" option, we have cut slots for the nut, bridge and frets so they are ready for installation. We will cut slots for 18 frets (including the 6 1/2 fret) for a total scale length of 27".

For the "Frets Installed" option, we cut the slots as in the "Slots Cut" option, and install and trim the frets. The price you see includes the installation and the fret wire.
 

About Quartersawn White Oak: Quartersawn white oak is sometimes indistinguishable from quartersawn red oak. White oak is a bit more dense than red oak (a bit harder, too), but is functionally equivalent. (Please read the description for Quartersawn Red Oak for more information about quartersawn lumber.)
