This sycamore blank set includes 2 pieces of book matched sycamore each measuring 4" x 32" (may vary by up to 1/8") for a total of 8" x 32" with a thickness of 1/8" (finished to 120 grit).
For the "Joined, Glued And Sanded" options, we have joined the edges of the two pieces, glued them together and sanded the resulting piece on both sides giving you a single book matched piece with a seam down the middle.
About Sycamore: A hardwood tree found throughout North America, the sycamore typically grows to a height of 90 to 150 feet. Sycamore lumber, when quartersawn (see "Red Oak" for a description of quartersawing) has a beauty and figure that is unique to American hardwoods. Sycamore is relatively lightweight, but yet surprisingly strong, so it can function well as both a body wood and and soundboard wood.
