Try customizing your own mountain dulcimer soundboard.   Lacewood Dulcimer Back/Soundboard   This lacewood blank set includes 2 pieces of book matched lacewood pieces each measuring 4" x 32" (may vary by up to 1/8") for a total of 8" x 32" with a thickness of 1/8" (finished to 120 grit).   For the "Joined, Glued And Sanded" options, we have joined the edges of the two pieces, glued them together and sanded the resulting piece on both sides giving you a single book matched piece with a seam down the middle.   About Lacewood: Native to Queensland, Australia, lacewood is often used as a decorative wood in dulcimer building. The hardness of lacewood makes it ideal for fingerboard veneers and other decorative uses.
