This bubinga blank set includes 2 pieces of book matched bubinga each measuring 4" x 32" (may vary by up to 1/8") for a total of 8" x 32" with a thickness of 1/8" (finished to 120 grit).
For the "Joined, Glued And Sanded" options, we have joined the edges of the two pieces, glued them together and sanded the resulting piece on both sides giving you a single book matched piece with a seam down the middle.
About Bubinga: Bubinga is very hard and dense with a tight grain pattern. The grain is predominantly straight, but it does often have small tight swirls. The color tends to be a dark salmon (pinkish brown) when freshly cut, but darkens to a reddish brown with exposure to air and light. Because of its tight grain pattern, bubinga makes an excellent fingerboard veneer or accent wood, but it is a little heavy to use as a primary wood for a dulcimer.
