This beautiful piece of padauk has been shaped and cut to 22" x 8" (may vary by up to 1/8") and comes in a thickness of 1/8" (finished to 120 grit). This piece can be used as either a back or soundboard for a bowed psaltery.
About Padauk: Padauk trees are primarily found in Africa. Padauk lumber has a naturally red/orange hue to it. The color of padauk will naturally turn to a rich, vibrant brown over a period of several years. Padauk lumber machines and finishes well, and is suitable for all parts of a dulcimer.
