Try customizing your own mountain dulcimer soundboard.   Western Red Cedar Dulcimer Back/Soundboard   This western red cedar blank set includes 2 pieces of book matched cedar each measuring 4" x 32" (may vary by up to 1/8") for a total of 8" x 32" with a thickness of 1/8" (finished to 120 grit).   For the "Joined, Glued And Sanded" options, we have joined the edges of the two pieces, glued them together and sanded the resulting piece on both sides giving you a single book matched piece with a seam down the middle.   We use only the highest quality wood and attempt to ship only clear stock. As the primary purpose of these boards is for creating dulcimers, we do allow defects if the defect will be outside the standard hourglass or teardrop shape of a dulcimer.
