Try customizing your own mountain dulcimer soundboard.   East Indian Rosewood Dulcimer Back/Soundboard   This east Indian rosewood blank set includes 2 pieces of book matched rosewood each measuring 4" x 32" (may vary by up to 1/8") for a total of 8" x 32" with a thickness of 1/8" (finished to 120 grit).   For the "Joined, Glued And Sanded" options, we have joined the edges of the two pieces, glued them together and sanded the resulting piece on both sides giving you a single book matched piece with a seam down the middle.   About East Indian Rosewood: East Indian rosewood tends to be light purple to dark purple and brown when freshly cut, but darkens over time to an almost uniform dark brown. The wood is very dense and will finish to an incredibly smooth surface. Rosewood is perfect for fingerboards, and is prized for its tone quality when used as a soundboard.
