You'll assemble these pieces to make a glue-up that you can use to build a hammered dulcimer (traditional trapezoid shape) that measures up to 42 inches wide and 18 inches high. Our soundboard material is just right for a finished product that ends up at 1/4 inch thick.   Using a cedar soundboard on your hammered dulcimer will tend to give you more sustain and resonance. It will also likely have a little more bass than all hardwood hammered dulcimers.   Our hammered dulcimer soundboard stock is shipped unassembled.
