Our Folkcraft brand baritone hourglass dulcimer is tuned to the key of "A", which is a fifth below our standard dulcimer. This alone will set you apart from the crowd. The black walnut body creates a fat, mellow sound and by adding the northern cherry soundboard your performance will have a full sound with a slight ringing overtone. The purpleheart accents add a touch of color, as well as protect the fingerboard from strumming scratches. The flat peg head and leaf-heart tone holes add to the unique character of this fine dulcimer.
