Made in the Folkcraft Instruments shop, these genuine ebony nut and bridge pieces are just what you need to use when upgrading your mountain dulcimer. We've used ebony for both nuts and bridges since 1968, and now we're proud to offer these parts to you, so you can install them in your own mountain dulcimer. Our nut and bridge pieces are 1/8" thick, 3/8" tall, and either 1 3/8" or 1 1/2" wide. With six slots pre-cut in the top edge, you can use our ebony for most any combination of mountain dulcimer strings. About Ebony: Ebony is a very dense and hard wood with extremely tight grain. It is almost always entirely black, but will occasionally have streaks of dark brown. Ebony works fairly well, but takes a little more time to cut because of its hardness, and has a tendency to chip.
